The USS Roosevelt is About to Head to the Red Sea
The USS Roosevelt, which is set to replace the USS Eisenhower, has arrived near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait in the Gulf of Aden and is preparing to head to the Red Sea.
On June 22, the USS Eisenhower left the Red Sea after passing through the Suez Canal. After a brief stop in the Mediterranean, it returned to its home port at the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia on July 14, concluding its 275-day deployment.
The US Navy had already decided that the USS Roosevelt would replace the USS Eisenhower in the Red Sea when the latter left.
