You just heard the Micro Amp + from MXR's Custom Shop. MXR has taken this already versatile clean boost pedal to the next level by including active Bass and Treble controls for shaping for your amp, pickups or other pedals. Since the EQ on the MicroAmp+ is active, you can use it to cut or boost frequencies, a great way to tighten up humbuckers, add some thump to single coils or roll both controls back to give your solos a snarling mid boost. Of course, the Micro Amp + can be used conventionally for a transparent clean boost up to 26dB, which is more than enough to push a clean amp into overdrive. The MXR CSP233 uses true bypass switching but can be used as a buffer at its minimal gain setting and its low noise, analog circuitry can be powered with a battery or a 9VDC adapter.
