Full Drive From Marble, Colorado To Crystal Mill With GoPro

My wife and I rented a Dodge Ram with the added insurance to take the rough terrain drive up to Crystal Mill in Colorado. I tried researching what the drive was like via YouTube but many of the videos were old, so I thought I would provide a current video with the full drive from Lost Trail Rd onto County Road 3. This is roughly a 3.7 mile journey that can take you up to 45 minutes to an hour depending on how many times you need to stop. This trail is open to trucks and atvs as well as hikers. Drive very slow (5mph or less) due to the very rough terrain and to give the hikers time to move to the side of the road. Most of them are kind and will step aside as you pass.

The insurance was important because the trail is very narrow at times and you will have tree branches scratching the side of your vehicle. There is oncoming traffic in both directions and you will have to stop, attempt to move to the side as much as you can or even back up at times to allow for traffic to move.

There are sections where there are large boulders you will have to drive over and will damage your undercarriage if your vehicle is not high enough.

I hope this video is helpful to those who want to hike or drive the trail to the mill. There is parking available when you arrive and additional parking at the cabins that are further up the road, passed the mill.
