If you’re interested in learning firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship in a supportive, woman-friendly environment, Women On Target® is the perfect place to start.

These instructional clinics are designed to learn these critical skills.

Whether picking up a gun for the first time or just brushing up on your skills, you’ll immediately feel at ease in the half-day clinic.

No experience or equipment is necessary to participate in Women On Target…so let’s get started!

Do you know that 25 percent of women in America own a firearm, and that women make Half of all new gun purchases? Women On Target lets you "try before you buy."
A terrific aspect of the Women On Target program is that you don't need to bring equipment to the clinics.
Firearms, ammunition, eye, and ear protection are all provided.
What this means is that you need to make no financial investment before you have your first experience shooting a gun.

You can read about the different kinds of firearms and the experiences of individual reviewers with them, but you may be surprised to find which firearm you're most comfortable with when you shoot.

If you have a firearm you'd like to bring, you're welcome to do so.

Women On Target clinics are affordable.
Understanding the principles of gun safety and applying them consistently in your life is extremely important, which is why Women On Target clinics are designed to fit every family's budget.

NRA membership is not required to attend a Women On Target clinic.

You'll encourage and learn from one another, and have the opportunity to meet women who share your goals and values.

Our GOAL is:
To provide beginning woman shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a firearm safely.

These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to handle and operate a firearm safely upon completion.

Women On Target® clinics are available only to women. They’re a safe and friendly environment, whether you’re picking up a gun for the first time or just brushing off some dust and needing a little refresher.

You’ll immediately feel at ease in the half-day clinic and receive a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. You don't need any experience or equipment to participate.

Do you know if I need experience?:
No! Women On Target® is an introductory program, so no previous experience is necessary. Whether you've never held a firearm or are looking to refresh your skills, these clinics are an excellent starting point.

What can I expect to learn?:
The course includes both classroom and range time.
You'll learn the NRA's rules for gun safety, which include understanding how to handle, operate, and store your firearm safely.
You'll also be taught the basics about loading and unloading your firearm, pistol grip, eye dominance, and the fundamentals of marksmanship and shooting sports.

CLINIC LESSONS:
Lesson 1: Introduction to Firearms Safety, Parts, and Operation (45 minutes)
Lesson II: Introduction to Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Shooting (45 minutes)
Lesson III: Introduction to Shooting from the Benchrest Position, followed by live fire exercises
Lesson IV: NRA Continued Training Opportunities (30 minutes)
