48 hours in Tulum | the Do’s and Don’ts | Mexico Travel 2022

We are leaving Playa Del Carmen to visit Tulum. This is our first time visiting and we are excited. We heard so many good things about Tulum. After a short one-hour car ride, we arrived at our lovely stay. The next morning, we explored the Tulum Hotel Zone. After a few hours of exploring Tulum, we were quite disappointed. The road is very dusty and extremely busy. There was an abundance of cars, trucks, bicycles, and scooters, truly not ideal for walking and exploring. Sadly, we were very dissatisfied and felt that the Hotel zone is not worth the price tag. We don’t recommend staying there. We highly recommend staying in downtown Tulum. It is truly a better experience.
