‘Real problem’ with governments during the pandemic has been ‘overreach’
Sky News host Chris Kenny says the “real problem” with governments during the pandemic has been “the overreach, the paranoia, the rules and restrictions.”
Mr Kenny said while the NSW government has been “the best of a very bad bunch,” their reputation took a “step backwards today” when Premier Dominic Perrottet extended restrictions in the state by another month.
“They do impose capacity limits, crippling capacity limits, on bars, cafes and restaurants. They do mandate masks indoors at a lot of places too,” Mr Kenny said.
“And they also include a continuation of QR codes at many venues and shops, which is very weird to say the least.
“Some hysterical types love this stuff … and the NSW government keeps the QR codes going to give these people the illusion it is keeping them safe.”
