HOW TO Sanitize Your RV Water System // Is YOUR Fresh Tank FRESH? // Full-Time Truck Camping

✅ I'll show you my process for sanitizing our RV fresh water system, both the hot and cold sides. Towards the end, I'll show you how I sanitize our Alde hot water system, which is really easy! This is the process we use on our NuCamp Cirrus 920 Truck Camper, your camper may have different needs.

We've been drinking the water from our freshwater tank for many years. There's nothing wrong with doing that, as long as you sanitize your fresh water system every few months. We do ours about three times per year. We are full-time campers, for those who store their camper all for the winter, you should be fine doing it once per year before you use the RV for the season.

I'm not a professional, and this video is simply showing my process. Your rig may need a different approach, so make sure you check with your manufacture or local dealer if you have any additional questions.

Make sure you use standard bleach, not the gel type, and be sure it's nonscented! Also, gloves, clothing that you don't care about and safety glasses might also be a good idea.

The main goal is to keep your water system clean and safe to drink from, the bleach helps to kill anything lurking in your water lines and water tank.
