In this week’s FLASHBACK FRIDAY, I go back 25 years to the world premiere of director’s Alejandro Amenabar’s psychological horror film, “THE OTHERS,” starring Nicole Kidman. I talked to Nicole about the film and asked her what scared her the most as a child and if she believes in ghosts. That’s a question I’d like to ask her today, as she recently told NBC News that she is training to become a death doula. Kidman said the decision stems from the 2024 death of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, and the grief that followed.

At the world premiere, I also spoke with the late singer-actor, Aaliyah. She passed away in a plane crash just over three weeks later, on August 25. That night at the premiere, Aaliyah told me she’s a fan of scary films.
