Quite a few viewers have asked me to add subtitles to my videos. As much as I'd like to, it's a really tedious task. Fortunately, Youtube has the auto-generated subtitles function. By itself, it only generates the spoken word into the actual video language - a sort of speech-to-text trick. However, if you activate it, you can then also activate auto-translate, allowing you to generate subtitles in just about any language.
I use it frequently to watch German restoration videos, and much, much more.
