How to make the Best smothered Cabbage!!!

Hey guys ! Heres my highly requested smothered cabbage recipe! Please tweak this recipe to YOUR liking ! Make it your own guys! This recipe was made with ONE head of cabbage ! If you dont like pork please just leave it out .. and add a substitution such as smoked turkey etc . Here’s what you’ll need

1 head of cabbage
1 bag frozen onions and peppers
(Or 1 onion chopped , 1 bell pepper chopped )
few slices of fat back or salt pork ( I used both ) lol!
2 tablespoon corn starch
1 table spoon sugar
2 tablespoons of vinegar
Seasoning of choice such as salt, pepper etc
1 1/2 cups low sodium chicken stock
1 package of onion soup mix
