In this video, we will be discussing Layer 1, the Physical Layer of the OSI Model.

In the previous video, we have discussed 7 Applications that acted as interfaces between user and computer.

Layer 6, Presentation Layer, which was responsible for the formatting of data
Layer 5, Session Layer, which was creating different sessions for different requests.
Layer 4, Transport Layer; which was adding port numbers
Layer 3, Network Layer, which was adding IP address
Layer 2, Data Link Layer, which was adding mac addresses

Now, we have the lowest layer of the OSI Model, which is called the Physical Layer.
The physical layer is the lowest layer of the OSI model and is responsible for transmitting data using a physical medium such as a cable or wireless link and storing bits of information. The physical layer connects network nodes physically rather than transferring logical data packets.

Electrically, mechanically, and procedurally, the physical layer interfaces the transmission medium to the hardware-specific operations that affect electronic signal transmission.
