How to Install & Center Your Servo Properly (Beginner Guide)

If your RC car won’t drive straight, your servo is likely not centered properly. It’s one of the most common setup mistakes and one of the easiest to fix.

Whether you're installing a new servo or upgrading your setup, this quick guide shows you the correct way to do it step by step.

Here’s how to do it right:
1. Install your servo, but leave the horn off
2. Power on your ESC to let the servo find its neutral position
4. Set your steering trim to zero on the transmitter
5. Attach the servo horn as close to perpendicular as possible
6. Fine-tune using steering trim for straight tracking
