Power Rack DIY Seal Row #homegym #garagegym #powertec
This is V2 of my DIY Seal Row. In my review for the Powertec Power Rack, I showed V1 where I used the Rogue Multi Grip Camber Bar and performed the exercise on the outside safety spotter arms. I had to load the bar on the floor and I had to use a stack of 25 pound plates for lift-off. Unfortunately, the Rogue Bar hit the bottom of the platform and the Rogue bar doesn’t fit into the J Cups when they are on the inside of the rack, so I knew I could do better.
I contacted my dad who let me have his Texas Power Bar from the 1980s, added J Cups for lift off, moved the platform to the inside of the rack, and used the Kensui Swissies to get a full range of motion with a neutral grip.
The platform could also work well as a place to load adjustable dumbbells and a place to set dumbbells prior to liftoff.
The platform cost me $100, it adds even more versatility to my gym, it takes seconds to set up, it stores out of the way, and this could be good for someone with limited space and / or limited equipment.
Most of the equipment, attachments, and accessories I use can be found following the link in my YouTube bio / about page. I am an affiliate for Powertec, GymPin, and I have an Amazon affiliate store. Please consider using one of my affiliate links. Any time a purchase is made through my affiliate links, I could receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you make a purchase using the link, you help support this channel, but more importantly, it shows the company I am helpful to their brand. Thank you!
