Steffen Sontheimer: From the Bottom to High Stakes Poker (Runchuks Poker Podcast)

At the beginning of 2017, he had Live cashes close to $500,000 to his name and flew under the radar of many in the Poker world. But some seemed to notice the rising talent already: "Predicting the breakout year of Go0se.core! Best player in the game right now.", Fedor Holz wrote on Twitter.

And it turned out to be true! The same year, Steffen Sontheimer cashed for $7.052.324 and destroyed the Poker Masters series in the Aria Casino Las Vegas, when he claimed the Purple Jacket and cashed 4 out of 5 high roller tournaments against the best in the world. (He bubbled the one he didn't cash in 8th place)

Three years later, Tobi and I are happy to welcome him to our Poker podcast!
In the podcast, Steffen shares how he moved up from a Low Stakes grinder to one of the most prominent names in the Super High Roller scene, why he stopped traveling for poker, and his approach to poker and life in general.

It is incredible how grounded Steffen is, even after all his breathtaking results! There is a lot that each and every one of us can learn from his story, and I am grateful that he was so open in our discussion!
