2014+ SIERRA & SILVERADO PCV CATCH-CAN INSTALL (w/ RESULTS!) | 5.3L EcoTec3 LT Engine Catch Can

This video shows how to install a Moroso catch-can PCV and crankcase filtering system on my 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck. This set up should would on all 2014+ Chevrolet And GMC trucks including the Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Escalade, Yukon and Yukon XL. Basically any vehicle that has the new direct injection, 5.3L and 6.2L Ecotec3 engines. This particular Moroso catch-can was vehicle specific to older GM trucks that include the Hummer H2. It can be modified to fit older trucks as well as cars such as the Camaro and Corvette. The purpose of the a PCV catch-can is to filter out motor oil and other contaminates from the crankcase vapors. These vapors are drawn into the intake manifold to help regulate crankcase pressure. These contaminates can cause valve coking and other issues that can reduce horsepower, torque and fuel economy.

In fact, General Motors has installed a similar type crankcase and PCV filtering system on the new 2017 Duramax diesel engine that will go into the 2500 and 3500 heavy duty Sierra and Silverado.
