Timberline Mountain ski area is located in the Monongahela National Forest near Davis, West Virginia.This area opened in the early 80’s and offers skiers and snowboarders 22 trails, 1000 vertical, spread out over 100 acres.Timberline has had financial woes in the past, a new owner recently reopened the area and installed a 6 person high speed lift. Be sure to ski or ride Salamander, The Southeast’s longest run. It’s a green circle and it is beautiful.

Timberline is near Canaan Valley Ski Resort; because of the proximity and size. This ski area is a gem of a spot for have a ski and snowboard holiday. The area includes Canaan Valley State Park. state park and offers terrific amenities including a lodge for overnight stays.
