Title: Building an AI-Powered CAD Assistant: C#, MongoDB, and SolidWorks API
Description: A technical walkthrough of my "AICAD" prototype. This application acts as a bridge between Large Language Models (LLMs) and Mechanical Design. It takes user input, processes it via the Gemini API to generate operational codes, and executes them inside SolidWorks using the Interop library.
Technical Breakdown:
Input Processing: Natural language prompts sent to Gemini API.
CAD Automation: C# application using SolidWorks.Interop to drive geometry creation.
Data Persistence:
SQLite: Local logging of all steps.
MongoDB: Cloud storage of prompts, execution plans, and user feedback (Success/Fail) for future Reinforcement Learning datasets.
Logic: The system handles hard-coded industrial standards (like Pipe Schedules) alongside AI-interpreted dimensions.
I am currently refining the model and planning a full release in 2026.
