Ashwin Batish Sitar and Keshav Batish Tabla Raga Nat Bhairav Classical Music
In 1970, Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish ji was invited by Dr. Ralph Abraham to teach music of India at Merrill College, University of California, Santa Cruz. He spent several years teaching. He passed away in 2006.
On Aug 6, 2016, his son Ashwin Batish and his grandson Keshav were invited to play some Indian music for a party to celebrate a new book release by Ralph Abraham called "Hip Santa Cruz" that captures the essence of that period in Santa Cruz. It is a trip down memory lane.
