The way Trump could 'destroy' Biden in a general election

Donald Trump’s success in a general election depends on whether he can be a “disciplined” politician, says conservative talk radio host Ben Ferguson.

Mr Ferguson’s comments come as the former US president continues to be the favourite Republican candidate according to polls.

“You’ll probably laugh at the idea of him being disciplined but look he’s been pretty smart recently,” Mr Ferguson told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.

He said Mr Trump is beginning to understand he must be “smart” about the way he talks about the past, present and future.

“If he talks about the here and now and doesn’t take those loaded questions about the past and relitigating the past, and he talks about … the economy and securing the border and building the wall, he will destroy Joe Biden.”
