Why Scottie Pippen Got Disrespected By The NBA Many Times

In this video we talk about Scottie Pippen and how he is disrespected by players and the nba. He is one of the best defenders in nba history and was no mvp and no defensive player of the year.
ok starting with a big one right here. If we talk about scottie pippen we are talking not only about one of the best defenders of all time, but he could easily be
the best wing defender we have ever seen.
I mean taking you back to the 91 nba finals. scottie pippen guarding magic johnson and making his live miserable. if it wasnt for that i am not sure the bulls would win that series in 5 games.
Or what about Scottie always guarding the best wing player on the opposing team, ok he and michael jordan, but scottie would do it more often and litarerly shutting guys down.
Also he would always be in the top 5 in steals for 6 years in a row. We have to put that into the right persepctive. Scottie was a guy who was always looking for the steal, and therefor risking to get blown by by his opponet. no scottie had an exeptional feel for when to go for the steal, something that not to many players had.
Then we have to talk about scottie being able to guard position 1-4. Nowadays where everybody is hyping lebron james being able to guard multipal positions I have to state that scottie was doing that back in the 80s.
So how come scottie neveer won the defensiv player of the year award? Good question. To me he was clearly dissrespected because he definately deserved to be the defensive player of the year at least once.
If we take a look at the players who won the award we can clearly see that those are some big names, and all of them were senstational defenders. But
scottie not having won the defensive player of the year award just sounds wrong.

Another time scottie pippen was disrespected by the nba was when he did not win the mvp award in 1994. So this one here is a bit tricky, but hear me out. hakeem olajuwon is my favorite big of all time. i mean i cover him all the time simply because i also think he is the best big of all time.anyway, he won the mvp award in 1994 because he had a sensational season. the rockets where doing good during the season and hakeem was unstoppable. but if we talk about the guy who was the most valuable player, it has to be scottie pippen. michael jordan just had retired and everybody thought the bulls were done for.
I mean they had just lost the greatest player ever. But scottie took over and elevated every single player on his team.Not only would he lead the bulls in every single major statistic, but also help them to win almost 60 games. Increadable.
But again scottie was overlooked and did not win the mvp. and this to me was simply wrong.
Next I have nba players , and the nba media not getting scottie any respect. saying that he was only good because of michael jordan.
This one right drives me crazy. I mean you dont have to like socttie. nobody is expecting that. but you cant tell me you know the game of basketball and you dont see what a sensational player scottie pippen was.
