Gleason worked for over 60 years as a Chicago journalist. He was on "The Sports Writers" on WGN Radio from 1975-1993. Gleason was also on "The Sports Writers on TV" which was broadcast nationally from 1985-1997. He wrote three books: "Footsteps of a Giant," "The Liquid Cross of Skid Row," and "Daley of Chicago."
