"Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms", by 'The Imperfect Pianist'
"Believe Me, if All Those Endearing Young Charms" is a popular song written by the Irish poet Thomas Moore, setting new lyrics to a traditional Irish air that can be traced back into the 18th century" (Wikipedia).
The song was going through my head and so I went to the piano and started playing. After the first verse and chorus, I unconsciously segued into "Away In a Manger", using a very pretty American (?) melody I first heard on a Bobbie Gentry CD about 5 years' back. It seemed to fit and so I have combined the two songs. Recorded 7 April 2022 in the key of D, I have played it in a faster tempo than is normally used. Length 2 mins 14 secs.
