Chechnya - OMON Troops Search Homes In Grozny

A unit of the elite Russian special OMON troops scoured the Chechen capital Grozny on Wednesday (3/4) in search of weapons, bombs, drugs and other contraband. Chechen families watched nervously as armed men searched under mattresses, in junk piles and in closets for illegal goods. In a number of cases, contraband was found and the owners of the house were frisked and taken away.
