How to decrease air pollution and recharge groundwater?

Creating small ponds is one of the best ways to decrease air pollution and recharge groundwater. Since natural rains have decreased, it is essential to create small man-made water bodies. Every school, college, office complex, society should have them. They don't involve big technology. The space for the ponds just needs to be dug out. And it is much more effective in cleaning the air than buying expensive air purifying machines.
