It's feeling a little post-apocalyptic now - my solo walk to Montañita Ecuador

Amelia and JP VLOG 200: It felt a little too post-apocalyptic walking from Olón to Montañita Ecuador this morning because there were no cabs, no buses for weeks and no ATM to get cash. My mind kept replaying, "It's the end of the world as we know it..." by REM. Not a comforting thought!

The mercaditos in Olón are only open on seemingly random days and the lines are crazy long when they are open. The tienda grocery stores, including Tia, have mostly package items and a very small selection of fruits and veggies so we're rationing our produce.

My solo walk to Tia today was mainly to get cash and a few supplies that are hard to find in Olón like almond milk, yeast, peanut butter (they were out), good coffee (they were out) and a few other things. Tia did have some peppers, mushrooms, papaya and asparagus, so I got some of those, too.

These are certainly interesting times, but I'm ready for things to get back to normal.
