Warehouse workers cost you money. Mistakes cost you money - and frustrate your customers. And the more orders you ship the more these problems are amplified. Good software can solve a lot of these issues, but it turns out there aren’t really any software products for running warehouses designed specifically for smaller firms.​
Problems with most WMS systems, from the perspective of a Small Business:

You need easy-to-follow workflows that temporary staff can use with little training, and you want an interface that removes the rest of the noise to concentrate on the very specific set of tasks warehouse workers do.

These issues have fairly serious impacts:.

- Either you’re stuck paying a lot for overspec’d software, or - more likely - you just do without. And that leaves your warehouses in a sort of operational gap. ​

- Pick lists get done with pen and paper, then reconciled at the end of the day into your software​

- Multi-bin locations get recorded off system, or rely on a sort tribal knowledge of where replenishment stock might live​

- And you lose visibility of expiry dates for perishables because your system can’t keep track of the different places batch-tracked stock might be​

The end result is pick accuracy floating around 70%​. Returns costs of US$20,000 to US$30,000 a year​. Unreliable paper-based audit trails​, and at least US$2k in annual worker time spent on avoidable admin​.

​So it's a great set of problems to solve.​ And this is the solution we’ve come up with:​
