In today's video we head to Neenah, WI to check out The Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass tucked away on the shore of Lake Winnebago. Evangeline Bergstrom's passion for paperweights began as a child and her collection was once on exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. Upon her husbands death on June 19th 1951, John Bergstrom left a substantial sum of money to the City of Neenah to be used for a museum. In 1953, Mrs. Bergstrom gave the Tudor mansion she and her husband built in 1929-30, to serve as the site for a museum. Unfortunately Mrs. Evangeline Bergstrom passed away before the museum opened to the public in 1959.
