Summer Idylls is a set of 3 short pieces for piano, written by Väinö Raitio early in his career. A typical performance of the work lasts around 9 minutes.

The three works in Summer Idylls are written in a flowing, late Romantic style. The first piece, Barcarole, features gently rolling arpeggios under a wistful melody. Pastorale's subtle chromatic shifts and somber atmosphere take a somewhat dark and pessimistic twist on the typically gentle and light-hearted pastorale. Idylle, possibly the most complex and well-developed work of the three, is a lovely work with unusual modulations and shifting time signatures.
