The Trojan War - Battles in the Bronze Age - Extra History - #2
You can get Total War Saga: Troy for FREE, today, August 13th by following this link: https://bit.ly/EHTroy ! Thank you to Creative Assembly and to Total War for making this series possible!
So since we uncovered Troy then we should know how the ancient battles described in the Iliad actually went down right? It's a little more complicated than that. Unfortunately, most of what we understand we've had to piece together from only a few surviving artifacts or writings. But even writings from Homer do inform us of some aspects of the bronze age battlefield. And also informs us of some of the bigger anachronisms hiding in the Iliad. Would Achilles really just abandon his chariot instead of using it to run people down? And was there a real Trojan horse?!
