Worthington Glacier is one of the most easily accessible glaciers in Alaska.

Getting up close to Worthington Glacier might seem easy, but it involves bending the rules since leaving the designated trail is technically not permitted. The trail was designed for a glacier that has been rapidly receding, making it difficult to spot the glacier from said trail. While technically prohibited, many people still venture off the trail, and park staff rarely enforce the rule. Climbing to the upper part of the glacier can indeed be dangerous and may lead to a slip and fall. However, following the glacier stream to its base is safer and easier. We took the risk, and it allowed us to get some stunning pictures, taste ice from the glacier itself, and return with unforgettable memories. 🏞️📸🏔️
