Week 44 - is upholstery hard? #upholstery #interiordesign

I've had to split this into multiple reels because there is just too much to say and show on this sofa makeover in 3 minutes!
I spent a full day with Carolina and Mantas at their shop in Cambridge. The Cambridge Upholsterer has been going 8 years repairing and reupholstering furniture as well as specialising in selling mid-century Czech pieces! The shop has a whole library of the latest fabric books and between the two of them they have so much knowledge and experience. Mantas is fully qualified and experienced in both traditional methods and modern and can do anything really including all types of leather restoration and repair or replacement.
I should mention that their area of business is huge, Demolition Dean is not only the furniture stripper, he is also the man with the van and nothing is too much trouble!
They collect and deliver furniture so it's always worth dropping them a message if you aren't local to see if they can help
The fabric reveal was scary and amazing because I've been bold and brave on this one because I wanted a statement piece and this fabric is exactly what I wanted.
It's called Big Top by ​@linwoodfabric1524 in the colour roulette (check their other colours in this fabric, they are stunning) and it's a linen fabric designed exclusively for Linwood and printed at their base in Hampshire.
