Egypt, Hosni Mubarak took power in 1981, Egypt was indeed more urban than the rest of the world. New Galala, officially New Galala City, is a planned city in northwest Egypt. This city is supposed to lie on Northern Galala Plateau on the western side of the Gulf of Suez. More precisely so, the new City of Galala is located on the highest mount plateau in the Red Sea area between Ain Sokhna and Zafarana.

This city is the Egyptian government's ambitious plans for dealing with urbanization and population increase. This city will serve dealing with congestion and urbanization that most of the cities in Egypt are facing. This new city development is a sustainable, dynamic, mixed-use area based on a framework of land use, public land transportation, new road systems, and public spaces that integrate the existing ecological conditions.

The city, after its completion, will include luxurious as well as middle-income housing, touristic resorts, a water park, a Phosphate fertilizers factory, and a university called ‘Galala University’. The city will also include Egypt’s first Olympic village. Construction. The city will be connected to Cairo and other locations by a newly build highway.

Talking about infrastructure, this city is the design. The promenade includes vantage points of the Gulf of Suez and surrounding plateaus. Since the construction started there has been lots of progress working in the city. The coastal town resort has been finished along with the Marina, a food court in the coastal town park, and the Galala Water Park.

The massive desalination plant was finished. Phase one of IL monte Galala is under construction where 665 buildings containing 1900 units are being carved right into the hillside. A new road called Beni Suif Zafrana with a makes a bridge between the Zafarana area and Beni Suif on the Nile River. The length of the main Galala Plateau Road. It is expected to be a prime tourist destination with many resorts and tourist villages and a city, which links the New Administrative Capital to the Red Sea governorates.
