But let's fix that chest voice for you. One of the main issues with chest voice is that there isn't enough vocal fold closure going on, so we tend to blow air or stay in our "head voice" as we go lower in the range.

Think about speaking on pitch, a little bit louder than you are used to and then working on complaining on that sound. This way you will get the contact and the complain will make it seem more "sung"
