​Not just on Alignable, but most sites where you have a list and you would like to click on a list item on the left and see directly to the right the content without having to open and switch tabs or windows...

​Check out Chrome's recent split-view feature. For me, it makes my Alignable workflow so much easier.

Gmail has a similar feature built-in, where you can view content in a pane to the right of the email list.
