The ‘Morning After’ Pill Only Works for Women Under a Certain Weight?

A new study shares that for women who weigh more than 175 pounds, emergency contraception or “the morning after pill” had little to no affect and their risk of getting pregnant was almost the same as if they had not taken the pill at all. While this information is alarming, Dr. Nita shares that there is also no weight-based warning on the packaging of the pill because the FDA is waiting for more information from more trails.
