When insomnia shows up, the mind can start telling convincing stories — worst-case scenarios, dark predictions, and reasons to pull back.
You might feel pressure to listen to those thoughts and organize your day around how little sleep you got.
Some people notice a shift when they begin to notice those thoughts without letting them decide how the day goes — going to work, moving their body, spending time outside, and doing what matters, even after a short night.
That change doesn’t usually transform sleep, but it can reduce the struggle by shifting attention away from the mind’s alarms and back toward how you want to live.
