How to Felt Wool Dryer Balls 4 Ways: Pantyhose Method & Needle Felting Method

In this felting tutorial, I will walk you through how to wet felt wool dryer balls using your washing machine. The wet felting can be done in three ways: with wool yarn, wool roving, or with yarn and roving combined.

I will also walk you through how to create the same dryer balls using a dry felting method (aka needle felting) using wool yarn and roving.

Why Wool Dryer Balls?
Well, if you use 3-4 of them in your dryer instead of dryer sheets, they will save you money. Not only that, but they will keep your clothes static free and wrinkle free, and maybe even cut down your drying time, which also saves you energy. It has also been said that dryer sheets are toxic, so using these could also be a healthier alternative, especially if you have skin sensitivities.
