Knife of the Week - Vintage Auction Knives & A Scary Surprise!
Knife Dr. Whatnot Auction Sunday August 10th 7:00PM Eastern Time: https://www.whatnot.com/live/98435358-ccac-45b8-8157-a5a692f9ca84
This week’s video has a little of everything — knives, history, restorations, and a late-night scare I’ll never forget.
First up, Knife of the Week #8 is the Case XX RussLock — a modern design introduced in 2000 by Master Knifemaker Tommy Hart, named in honor of W.R. Case & Sons founder J. Russell “Russ” Case. I’ll share its history, the meaning behind its pattern number 1953L, and why it’s earned a place in so many collections.
Then, we’ll take a look at some vintage auction knives that are cleaned up and ready for my upcoming Whatnot auction — true treasures with plenty of character.
And finally… the scary surprise. Someone was in my yard at night while my granddaughters were staying over. I was caught off guard, and when I went to confront him, he vanished. I grabbed my bright flashlight and my Peace maker to search the property — you’ll hear exactly what happened.
