Ranked: Purge plays Skywrath Mage

Skywrath Mage, much like Lina 4, is a support whose purpose is to deal damage and secure kills on enemies when ganked. Playing Sky without an initiating or teamfighting 4 can be risky since it relies on you to grab decent farm and grab an atos, but if you gank and play correctly you can accelerate your team in a good way.

In terms of the laning stage, Sky has the benefit of a large mana pool, really good range, and solid nuke power. However, his raw hp isn't fantastic, and his armor consistently suffers, making him an easy target to be focused on. But if you can make it through the laning stage with sufficient harassment and even with a few kills, transitioning to blowing up enemies shouldn't be impossible if you play on the right places on the map.

If you aren't playing in the right locations or your allies are consistently jungling on your side of the map, then you're going to have a bad time playing Skywrath Mage because you'll be reliant on yourself to score kills on opponents!

As you transition into the late game, try to balance your need to get kills with the fact that you're squishy and easy to kill if initiated on. Ideally you site behind your allies and wait for them to go in before you follow up and help to secure kills.
