Alarm System Retrofit, Saab 9-5, Saab 9-3 (Complete Guide) - Trionic Seven
The Saab 9-5 can easily be retrofitted with an OEM alarm system. This retrofit is surprisingly easy as all the wiring is preinstalled. There are only a few components that must be acquired, and they are not very expensive. The same instructions should more or less apply to the Saab 9-3 (model years 1998-2002).
In the middle of the shoot, Mattiaz' 2Quick car broke down. It was the crankshaft position sensor (CPS) that was at fault.

Parts needed for the 9-5:
Alarm siren (see previous video)
Hood switch 90355463
Hood receptible 12782929
Rivet size 4.8 92153060
Glass crush sensor (front and rear)
Tilt sensor (optional)
The crush sensors do not have individual part numbers, the best bet is to buy them used.
You need a rivet tool for the install, otherwise the install is more or less without tools. You'll however need the tech2 instrument. If the car is model year after 2006 you also need the CANdi box.
The step-by-step guide in the tech2 tool is the spare parts programming for twice under body, twice, programming, spare parts programming.
Swedish: Så här eftermonterar man ett Saab original larmsystem i en Saab 9-5. Instruktionerna bör vara ungefär de samma för Saab 9-3.
