Railway House Cuckoo Clock Movement Complete Overhaul 2
Complete overhaul of an old railway house cuckoo clock movement shipped to me for repair from Montana. It required 12 bushings and replacement of all trundles in all lantern pinions. Both chain wheels were rebuilt, with one of the click ratchets needing a new tooth. The second wheel of the time train had a porosity in the casting that created a persistent problem and had to have brass pieces inserted to repair it. Finally, replacement chains were not available in the original 41 LPF, 1.20 mm size. 40 LPF chain was found that worked equally well.
