How to remove scratches from leather

Whether you are working on a leather project or just trying to see if you can clean up an old leather item, here are some tips for removing scratches from leather.

Note, this works best on oil-tanned leather, but you'll see some success with any full-grain leather. Any "real" leathers like "Genuine Leather" used for furniture only have a very thin veneer of leather so you may only see minor success, but it's worth a try.
