Groundies On The Playground! Don't Get Tagged!

We play groundies or grounders on the playground where one player is the groundie or grounder. The groundie is trying to tag the other players that are on the playground. If a player steps off the playground the groundie can call out groundies and the player that got caught on the ground becomes the new groundie. The groundie can have their eyes open unless the climb onto the playground equipment. If the groundie is on the playground equipment they must close their eyes until they are back on the ground.
