Measuring the SMA Experience: Laura’s Story

As an adult living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare neuromuscular disease, Laura’s level of independence is a bit different than most people’s. She uses her voice and adaptive technology to express her needs and wants to others. At Genentech, our researchers are working hard to better understand and address the needs of adults like Laura who are living with SMA.
