Bolt Action - 1250 Points Italians Vs British Envelopment

So I am joined by one of our local gamers Shaun who has brought his British Bolt Action army in a challenge match against me. I will be running a full regular Italian force, and whilst I have very little army penetration, I can apply pins.

Shaun rolled a attacker/defender scenario and then rolled envelopment. All I needed was to get a win on the next roll, which happened and naturally I chose to defend, with the advantage of the national trait. However it did mean giving him the prep bombardment, could be risky, but like to defend, so here goes.
