Airstrikes kill civilians in Gaza as Israel-Hezbollah tension grows

As plumes of smoke rose over Israel’s border with Lebanon, concern deepened about the spillover of violence from Israel's war with Hamas.

According to a security source, Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shia movement backed by Tehran, fired more rockets and weaponised drones at Israel on Wednesday than it had on any previous day.

Meanwhile, Palestinian authorities have reported dozens more deaths as Israel continues to bomb the Gaza Strip and clashes with Israeli security forces continued in the West Bank.
