Nitin Gadkari addresses 20th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2024 in New Delhi

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari emphasized the crucial role of education, research, and innovation in India’s journey to becoming a developed nation.

Speaking at the 20th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2025 in New Delhi, Mr. Gadkari highlighted India’s strong pool of young, talented engineering manpower and underlined the need to turn “waste to wealth” and “knowledge to wealth” to achieve self-reliance.

He reiterated that India’s vision to become the third-largest economy depends on strengthening the education and research ecosystem through collaboration between government, industry, and academia.
