Axillary breast is also called as accessory breast. So this is nothing but an extension of the normal breast in the axilla. So this can be present in one side or both sides . So this is seen in around 20 percent of the women population. So this will cause some bulge in the axilla and also some cyclical changes can happen during the periods. That size can increase. It can become painful and during the feeding also. The size can increase and become painful also. To overcome the situation the one and only option is the surgery. The surgeries are daycare surgery done under general anesthesia . Morning admission, evening discharge. First we do a liposuction with the micro cannulas around a two to three mm. So after that whatever left behind the glandular part is excised through a small incision in the axilla. So this incision is in the hidden area not so seen. So in the later part they can wear the even sleeveless clothes. So they can be very comfortable the stitches are put only inside there are no stitch marks visible. So the pain will be very minimal. So they can resume the activities from day 2 or day 3. So then we put waterproof plaster for that to begin with. So they can have normal bath from next day. So overall the axillary breast can be treated with the surgery.
