Max Domi on Creating His Own Identity

As the son of hockey legend Tie Domi, Max always wanted to make a name for himself on his own terms. When Max was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12, he was determined to not let his condition hold him back from pursuing his dreams. A diabetes diagnosis can sometimes feel like a life sentence, but it doesn’t have to define who you are. Here, Max shares his unique perspective on how he has been able to use his background to make him stronger and write his own story.
