I was tracking deep-sea topography north of Easter Island when I spotted something that absolutely shouldn't be there. What is sitting inside a remote volcanic crater 12,000 feet beneath the South Pacific Ocean? Open your phone, turn on Google Maps in Satellite mode, and type in these coordinates to see it for yourself:
18.8s109.2w Zoom way out
Located exactly 573 miles due north of the East tip of Easter Island, this massive anomaly sits directly inside an extinct underwater volcano that spans 5 miles in diameter at its base with a mile-wide crater opening.
But what makes this spot truly fascinating isn't just the shape-it's the data itself, this is ocean floor topography based on ship and submarine sonar data, if you look closely at the map, most of the ocean floor is out of this world fascinating!
Drop a comment below with your theory-does this merit an official scientific expedition to see what's down there?

Here’s exactly how to find it on your own phone." see it now in satellite mode on your own phone." Google Maps or Google Earth in satellite mode type in
18.8s109.2w
It's big so you will zoom out a lot to see it.
